Omeya Golf Club presented a ‘Last Man Standing’ competition last Saturday. Each player’s handicap plus 72 would be their total number of shots for the day, with a flag planted as soon as the number of shots were used up. Three players completed the 18 holes and proceeded to a play-off on the first hole. Dr Paul Verburg won the tournament, with Mario Reiter second and Chris Harwin third, while the stableford division was won by Anja Wessels. The club expressed thanks to Beefcor Namibia who sponsored meat as prizes. Prizes for shots nearest to the pin were won by Chris Harwin (hole 7) and Riaan Schwartz (hole 14).
