Central volleyball league shows growth

Central Volleyball Association chairperson Tobias Eden Mwatelulo is confident the league will continue to grow following the interest and commitment shown by clubs.
He said this after this weekend's matches, which took place at the Israel Patrick Iyambo Police College in Windhoek.
“I am happy with the progress we are making as a volleyball league and that all comes down to the amount of effort everyone puts in.
“The fact the teams have been coming to play and showing commitment is something to cherish.
“I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in making this league a success,” he said.

Players excited
Some of the players who compete in the league have spoken highly of the competition.
Amanda Mureka, who plies her trade for the University of Namibia (Unam), said: “I am happy to be part of this league, given that it really gives us an opportunity to be on the ground and to focus on the game".
“As a university team, we have been confronted with challenges because our players are not sometimes available during the holidays.
“We are, however, pushing and hoping that we can finish in the top four of this competition,” Mureka said.
The player added that it will be difficult to clinch the title against teams like Revivals, Khomas Nampol and Kudos, who are dominating proceedings.
