Goalkeepers and coaches refine their skills

The technical department of the Namibia Football Association (NFA), under stewardship of acting technical director Jaqueline Shipanga, is hosting a FIFA/ NFA goalkeepers coaching course with FIFA goalkeeper coaching expert, Alejandro Alfredo Heredia, assisted by NFA goalkeeper instructor, Ronnie Kanalelo.Heredia is a former goalkeeper who has worked in Argentina, Mexico, Spain and South Africa, served as the Head Coach of the SAFA’s goalkeeping department, and as technical director of Diambars Academy, to name a few.
According to the NFA, Heredia said: “Everyone here clearly has passion for goalkeeping, and it’s great to see current goalkeepers take this opportunity to increase their knowledge and improve. I’m sure by the end of the course, we will all be empowered and rich in both knowledge and skill.”
The five-day workshop will conclude on Friday at the Football House and is expected to reinforce goalkeeping techniques and tactics and build on participants knowledge of football. Attendees are a mixture of 30 local goalkeepers and goalkeeper coaches.
