SanlamAllianz backs Outjo schools’ sports day

SanlamAllianz recently sponsored the annual private schools’ sports day in Outjo, bringing together 13 schools and approximately 470 athletes, ranging from U7 to U19, to provide a competitive platform in track and field.

SanlamAllianz spokesperson Wendy Naruses highlighted the importance of the initiative, noting that the company has supported the event for 10 years, excluding 2020.

“We continue to help create platforms where young talent can grow, communities can come together, and the future of Namibian sport can take flight,” she said.

Best Track Athlete (boys): Jaco Potgieter (U19); Edugate Academy

Best Field Athlete (girls): Lize Meyer (U17); Edugate Academy

Best Field Athlete (boys): Stiaan Lewis (U9); Berg-Op Academy

Best Performance of the Day (girls): Lize Meyer (discus; U17); Edugate Academy
