“By Friday, all facilities will be fully operational. It’s now just a matter of final cleaning,” he said.
“Venues such as the Windhoek Showgrounds, Hage Geingob Stadium, the University of Namibia (Unam) as the Games Village, the United Nations (UN) Plaza and Swakopmund’s Vineta facilities (set to host athletics and swimming) are all complete.
“We are now just finalising minor cosmetic touches. The after-school centre in Katutura, which will host boxing, is also nearly ready. Team Angola is expected to be the first delegation to arrive on Sunday,” Hamutumwa confirmed.
