Four decades for FNB Sages tournament

The 40th anniversary of the FNB Namibia Annual Sages Inter-Branch Week teed off Monday morning at the Rössmund golf course outside Swakopmund.

This tournament is a highlight on the senior golfing calendar and attracts players from both near and far. A field of 80-plus golfers entered for the weeklong tournament. A field of 76 players took to the fairways in what might be described as perfect golfing weather.

At registration each golfer received a specially embroidered golf towel to commemorate this special occasion.

Without the continuous support of sponsors such as FNB, who together with their co-sponsors Bay Auctioneers, Dr Dean Kock, WB Building Supplies, Super Spar (Tops) and Fruit & Veg, tournaments of this magnitude could not take place.

The Sages Coastal Committee expressed its thank on behalf of all our participating golfers.
