Nedbank for Good Series heads to Omeya
The Nedbank for Good Series continues this Saturday as golfers gather at Omeya Golf Club for the final qualifying round of the annual tournament series.
The event marks the last opportunity for golfers to secure their place in the series final on 13 November, where the season’s top-performing golfers will compete for overall honours while supporting the series’ 2026 beneficiary, Agra ProVision.
As one of the final qualifying events before the grand finale at Windhoek Golf Club in November, the Omeya round is expected to attract strong competition as participants seek to secure valuable points and a place among the series finalists.
The Nedbank for Good Series has once again travelled across the country this season, bringing together golfers from diverse communities while raising awareness and support for a meaningful cause.
This year's beneficiary is Agra ProVision, an organisation that plays an important role in advancing agricultural education, skills development and sustainable farming practices in Namibia.
To date, 22 golfers have qualified for the final through the preliminary rounds held across the country, with the remaining places still being contested as the series approaches its conclusion.
Power of collective action
Speaking ahead of the Omeya event, Nedbank Namibia spokesperson Selma Kaulinge said the series continues to demonstrate the power of collective action.
“The Nedbank for Good Series is built on the belief that sport can be a powerful catalyst for positive change,” she said.
“Each tournament provides an opportunity for golfers to connect and contribute towards an initiative that makes a meaningful difference in our communities.
“We are proud to support Agra ProVision in 2026 and look forward to another successful event at Omeya Golf Club.”
Series organiser Dan Zwiebel said the tournament has enjoyed enthusiastic participation across the country throughout the year.
“The support shown by golfers, sponsors, golf clubs and the public during the 2026 series has been encouraging,” he said.
“Every host venue has added something unique to the tournament experience, and Omeya Golf Club promises to be another exciting stop on the journey to the final.
“With qualification opportunities becoming increasingly limited, we anticipate a highly competitive field and an enjoyable day of golf.”
Long-term social impact
Since its inception, the Nedbank For Good Series has created a platform where golf enthusiasts can participate in a well-organised national tournament while contributing towards initiatives that benefit communities across the country.
Through partnerships and player participation, the series continues to support organisations that are working to create long-term social impact.
The series is supported by Nedbank Namibia, the title sponsor, with Autohaus Windhoek as the official vehicle sponsor and Caltex Retail Namibia as the official fuel sponsor.
Other sponsors include Arebbusch Travel Lodge; JTC Namibia; Pupkewitz Megabuild; King Price Insurance; Maranatha Poultry; Namibia Wine Merchants; B2Gold; N/a'an ku sê Ecotourism Collection; AfricaOnline Namibia; AGRA; SCI Africa; and Radiowave FM.
