Haseb wins Northern Open

Wensley Haseb of the host club Tsumeb was crowned the 2025 champion of the Bank Windhoek North Open golf tournament on Sunday. Haseb, who was previously selected for the Namibian national junior team tours, shot totals of 73 and 75 on Saturday and Sunday. His closest rival was Nelson Johannes of Oshakati Golf Club, who was the overnight leader with 72 until his 78 on the final day put him two strokes behind the winner Haseb. The prize for overall best net was won by a junior player, Jaco van der Merwe (136) from Tsumeb Golf Club, who was one stroke ahead of Panduleni Shonena (137) of Oshakati.
