Save the date: Annual Ace Golf Day returns early in 2026

The inaugural Annual Ace Golf Day teed off in style on 26 June at the Windhoek Golf & Country Club, bringing together 21 teams for a day filled with energy, camaraderie, and purpose. The sold-out event, hosted by the African Child Development Trust (ACDT), raised vital support for early childhood education in Namibia.

The course buzzed with enthusiasm as players, sponsors, and supporters united under the banner of Putt for Progress—a mission to develop and distribute curriculum-aligned books for learners in Grades 0 to 3 across the country.

“It was a great turnout and corporates really came on board for a fantastic cause,” said Sharnay Botha, Executive Director of ACDT. “It was a lot of work and a lot of learning, but seeing our first-ever event come together so successfully made it all worth it.”

Botha also confirmed that the momentum is already building for the next instalment: “We are excited and ready to start planning our next Annual Ace, set for 27 February 2026. Enter your team now at eticket.my.na.”

Winners of the 2025 edition will be announced in the Sport Wrap print edition on Monday, adding even more excitement to the event’s closing chapter.

With fun activations, generous prizes, and strong backing from corporate partners, the event set a high benchmark for future fundraising initiatives aimed at shaping brighter futures for Namibia’s youngest learners.
