NFA Cup finals set for grand stage
The stage is set for an exciting day of football as the 2026 NFA Cup finals take place at the Independence Stadium this Saturday.
The Namibian Football Association (NFA) has invited football supporters, corporate partners and the general public to witness the grand finale of the country’s premier knockout competition, with both the men’s and women’s titles up for grabs.
In the men’s final, Unam FC will take on KK Palace in a highly anticipated clash.
The Clever Boys have impressed throughout the competition and will be aiming to lift the coveted trophy, while KK Palace will be looking to complete a memorable cup run with silverware.
The women’s final will see defending champions NDF Mighty Gunners Ladies face Khomas NamPol Ladies.
The two sides have enjoyed impressive campaigns and will be eager to claim top honours in what is expected to be a fiercely contested encounter.
Adding to the excitement, the Futsal Namibia semi-finals and finals will also be played on the same day at the Windhoek Showgrounds Plaza, giving supporters a full day of football action featuring both the traditional and indoor versions of the game.
The NFA Cup finals are regarded as a celebration of Namibian football, showcasing the country’s talent, unity and passion for the sport.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early, with the first match scheduled to kick off at 09:00.
“Football lovers are expected to turn out in numbers as Namibia’s finest clubs battle for glory and the chance to be crowned NFA Cup champions,” NFA spokesperson Cassius Moeti said.
Road to final
KK Palace reached the NFA Cup final after beating Mighty Gunners 5-3 on penalties following a 0-0 draw after normal time.
It is the first time in history that the northern side has reached the final of the competition.
Unam FC advanced to the final after beating Okahandja United 1-0 at the Independence Stadium.
In the women’s competition, Mighty Gunners Ladies booked their place in the final with a 4-0 win over Windhoek City, while Khomas NamPol Ladies advanced with a 2-0 victory over Julinho Athletics Ladies.
Moeti thanked all the teams that took part in the competition and said the association hopes the next edition will be even bigger.
“We extend our gratitude to the teams that took their time to be part of this [competition].
“As the final looms, we hope that the next tournament will be even bigger and better,” Moeti said.
The remaining clubs have also extended an invitation to football fans, calling for a lively atmosphere to bring the tournament to a fitting close.
