NFA announces fee structure

The fee structures for 2026/27 are out as the Namibia Football Association prepares for the football season.

The Namibia Football Association (NFA) has approved its fees structure for the 2026/27 football season, setting out new affiliation, registration, transfer, protest and appeal fees across the country’s various football competitions.

The fees structure, dated 12 August and issued by NFA Acting General Secretary Mabos Vries, applies to the Namibia Premier Football League (NPFL), Women’s Super League, Nationwide First Division, regional divisions, youth leagues and futsal.

The association also reminded members that player transfers require the necessary clearance and that prescribed transfer fees must be paid in accordance with NFA rules and regulations.

Under the new structure, affiliation fees for leagues to the NFA are set at N$50 000 for the Namibia Premier Football League, while the Women’s Super League will pay N$20 000. 

Nationwide First Division affiliations are N$10 000, with Regional Football Associations charged N$6 000.

At club level, NPFL clubs will pay N$16 000 in affiliation fees, compared to N$8 000 for Women’s Super League clubs.

Nationwide First Division clubs will pay N$6 000, with regional Second Division clubs having to pay N$3 000.

The regional Third Division clubs are required to pay N$1 500. 

The women’s regional clubs will pay N$1 000, while Girls Youth League clubs are charged N$500, with the Boys Youth League clubs paying N$800.

Player registration fees have also been outlined according to the level of competition.

Registration in the NPFL will cost N$300, while Women’s Super League and Nationwide First Division players will each pay N$200. 

Regional Second Division registration for players is N$120, while Regional Third Division stream players will pay N$60, and youth players will pay N$80.

The NFA has also set registration fees for officials. 

Referees will pay N$500, while NPFL coaches and medics will each pay N$1 000.

Women’s Super League coaches and medics will pay N$800, while Nationwide First Division coaches and medics are charged at N$500.

Transfer fees vary significantly depending on the divisions involved. 

Transfers among NPFL clubs for amateur players are set at N$12 000, while a move from the NPFL to the Nationwide First Division costs N$8 000. 

A transfer from the Nationwide First Division to the NPFL is N$12 000.

Transfers from the NPFL to the Regional Second Division and Regional Third Division do not cost a thing, while moves in the opposite direction are considerably higher, with Regional Second Division to NPFL transfers costing N$12 000 and Regional Third Division to the NPFL costing N$15 000.

In the Women’s Super League, transfers among clubs are set at N$8 000, while movement between the Women’s Super League and Regional Women’s League is also priced at N$8 000 when moving into the higher division. 

Transfers from the Women’s Super League to the regional league and from the Super League to youth leagues will not cost a thing.

Nationwide First Division clubs will pay N$7,000 for transfers among themselves, while movement between the Nationwide First Division and Regional Second Division is set at N$4,000 when moving down and N$7,000when moving up. 

Transfers from the Nationwide First Division to the Regional Third Division do not have a price. 

The structure also covers the lower divisions, with transfers among Regional Second Division clubs set at N$3 000, while Regional Second Division to Regional Third Division transfers cost N$1 000.

 Transfers from Regional Third Division to Regional Second Division are N$3 000.

At the youth level, transfers among youth leagues will cost N$500, while transfers from youth leagues to the NPFL or Nationwide First Division are set at N$15 000 and N$7 000, respectively.

Youth-to-regional transfers are also provided for, with youth players moving to the Regional Second Division charged N$3 000 and to the Regional Third Division costing N$1 000.

The NFA has further introduced a detailed schedule for protests and appeals. 

A protest lodged with the NFA will cost N$30 000, while protests in the Nationwide First Division, Regional Second Division and Regional Third Division will cost N$10 000, N$5 000 and N$3 000 respectively.

Protests in the Regional Women’s League and Youth League are set at N$1 500 and N$1 000 respectively.

Appeals and arbitration have been set at N$60 000.

The NFA says the approved structure is intended to guide its members and clubs throughout the 2026/27 football season, with all registrations, transfers and disciplinary processes expected to comply with the association’s regulations.
