The inaugural southern edition of the Bank Windhoek Ramblers Under-21 Football Tournament took place last weekend in Keetmanshoop, bringing together eight teams from across southern Namibia. Hosted at Westdene Stadium, the event showcased emerging football talent, community spirit, and youth empowerment through sport.

Keetmanshoop Soccer Academy claimed the title after a 1–1 draw and dramatic 6–5 penalty shootout win over Karasburg Westside Football Academy in the final. The tournament also included live performances, fan activations, and appearances by local dignitaries, including Keetmanshoop Mayor Annelize Knaus and Namibian international Zenata Coleman.

Top individual honours were awarded to:

Top Goal Scorers: Geraldo Mouton (Aroab Football Club) and Tangeni Swartbooi (Mariental Sport Club)

Best Goalkeepers: Lumando Basson (Karasburg Football Club) and Christiano Louw (Franz Beckenbauer Academy)

Best Young Player: Pieter Perkat (Keetmanshoop Soccer Academy)

Organised by Ramblers Sports Club and supported by Bank Windhoek, the tournament is part of a nationwide initiative launched in 2022 to develop grassroots football. With over N$1.1 million invested to date, the programme has already produced players who’ve progressed to the Premier League and national team level.
