The Namibia junior u20 women’s team arrived safely in Kampala, Uganda ahead of their FIFA World Cup u20 qualification fixtures against Uganda.

The Namibian side, being led by Errol Damaseb as head coach, will play both their fixtures in Uganda at the FUFA Stadium on Friday 19 and Monday 22 September respectively.

The Young Gladiators had their first training session early on Wednesday at the Muteesa One stadium in Kampala and with one training session left, Errol Damaseb remains optimistic on the games ahead.

“Today’s session was light; we wanted the players to relax their muscles and manage the travelling fatigue. The weather is hot and humid, and we are going to make sure the players stay hydrated, but overall I’m impressed with the team and the work they have been putting in over the past week,” he said.
