Atlantis, Legends of the Mighty Erongo, reign undisputed and undefeated again

The Otavi Football Club recently hosted its annual Otavi 5-a-side soccer tournament held over two days in Otavi, which once again featured a number of high-profile retired Brave Warriors legends.

Spectacular matches were seen in the two age groups (30-45 years, as well as 45+) and round-robin rules applied for the entire tournament.

The tournament was well-organized event and well-attended by the communities of Otavi, other towns communities of Namibia and as well as International visitors.

30-45 years (Atlantis, DTS-1, FC Farmer, SKW, DTS-II and Otavi)

RESULTS: DTS-1 beat DTS-2, 4-0 / Atlantis beat FC Farmer 2-0 / SKW beat DTS-2, 3-2 / DTS-1 beat FC Farmer 3-0 / DTS-2 and FC Farmer drew, 2-2 / Atlantis beat Otavi, 3-0. Atlantis beat DTS-1, 4-0 / Otavi and DTS-1 drew, 3-3 / SKW beat FC Farmer, 5-2 / Atlantis beat DTS-2, 5-0 / Atlantis beat SKW 2-0 / DTS-2 beat Otavi 1-0 / Atlantis beat DTS-1, 2-0 / SKW beat Otavi, 4-0 / FC Farmer beat Otavi 3-0 / SKW beat DTS-1, 1-0.

Atlantis defended their title again and won the tournament.

45 years and older (Atlantis, DTS-1, SKW and DTS-II)

RESULTS: DTS-1 beat DTS-2, 5-0 / SKW beat Otavi, 3-2 / Atlantis beat Otavi, 4-2 / SKW beat DTS-2, 4-2 / Atlantis beat DTS-1, 4-0 / SKW beat DTS-1, 5-1 / DTS-1 beat Otavi 3-1 / Atlantis beat DTS-2, 4-1 / Otavi beat DTS-2, 2-1 / Atlantis and SKW drew 2-2.

Atlantis has now won the 5-a-side (45+) tournament for a decade.

Osvaldo Dos Santos, the Atlantis FC chairman, thanked the Atlantis FC management, Ivo De Gouveia, Alex Kirov, Sandro De Gouveia and Heiko Steinmetz that always carry the club at their heart, for their dedication financially, spiritually, mentally and constant support in so many ways all the years.
