Youngest promoter Tobias Naule launches Golden Boxing Promotions
Tobias Naule has officially stepped into the professional boxing arena, becoming one of Namibia's youngest boxing promoters following the launch of Golden Boxing Promotions, a new promotion aimed at creating opportunities for local fighters while contributing to the continued growth of the sport.
The launch took place in Windhoek on Tuesday, where Naule, better known as Coach Sasa, unveiled the promotion alongside Golden Boxing Academy head coach and logistics manager Sebby Sheuyange and representatives of title sponsor CastleBet.
Naule said the move follows years of promoting boxing at amateur level and represents the next chapter in his career. "We are launching Golden Boxing Promotions, which will promote boxers through the Golden Boxing and Fitness Academy, but we are not only promoting our own athletes. We want to promote boxers from academies across the country and contribute to the development of boxing in Namibia," he said.
He stressed that his ambition is to complement the work already being done by established promoters. "Other promoters have done an amazing job and have produced world champions. My role is simply to add value and make my own contribution to Namibian boxing."
Golden Boxing Promotions will stage its inaugural professional tournament on 29 August, with further details on the venue, fight card and participating boxers set to be announced in the coming weeks.
The event will be fully sponsored by CastleBet, whose investment has made both the launch of the promotion and the inaugural tournament possible. The betting company has committed to supporting the event as part of its broader drive to invest in sport and community development.
CastleBet representative Ray Kumwenda said supporting boxing aligns with the company's commitment to giving back. "For us as an institution, it is always a pleasure to give back to the community. We believe sport creates mutually beneficial partnerships, and we are proud to fully support this event," Kumwenda said.
He added that CastleBet hopes its partnership with Golden Boxing Promotions will extend beyond the inaugural event, with the aim of empowering communities through sport while encouraging Namibians to attend and support local boxing.
With the backing of CastleBet and a vision to promote fighters from academies across the country, Naule believes Golden Boxing Promotions can become an important platform for developing Namibia's next generation of professional boxers.
