The MTC Nestor Sunshine Tobias Boxing Promotions is ready to showcase its stable in an action-packed night of boxing at the coast.

The MTC Nestor Sunshine Tobias Boxing Promotions will bring another exciting night of boxing to the coast when the Erongo Boxing Bonanza takes place at the Multipurpose Centre on Friday.


The tournament will feature nine action-packed bouts, including two National Championship fights, as some of Namibia's top professional boxers and rising prospects step into the ring for what promises to be an entertaining evening.


Promoter Nestor Tobias has called on supporters to fill the venue and rally behind the local fighters. "It is always good to have the local fighters in action. This is an opportunity for our talent to showcase themselves. The boxers are prepared and ready to prove a point on Friday," said Tobias.

The evening will open with unbeaten Frans Shoombe taking on Errikkie Mwandingange in a four-round bantamweight contest.

Jonas Jonas will then square off against Nicanor Halweendo in the junior welterweight division, while Nestor Thomas faces Phillipus Mateus in a super bantamweight bout.

In the super flyweight division, Trofimus Johannes will meet Samuel Mwatumbange before Martin Kambalili takes on Gabriel Shimweetheleni in a six-round super welterweight contest.

The lightweight division will see another unbeaten fighter, Tangeni Salomon, put his record on the line against Emmanuel Jason, while experienced welterweight Immanuel Mungangela clashes with Simon Shafodino over six rounds.

The co-main event features the National Junior Lightweight Championship over 10 rounds, with undefeated Fredrick Nghutunanye defending both his unbeaten record and national title against challenger Paulus Shonena.

The headline bout will see unbeaten Joy Nangolo take on Fabian Lameck in a 10-round National Bantamweight Championship contest. Nangolo will be looking to extend his unbeaten run and successfully capture another major title in his rapidly developing professional career.

With a packed fight card featuring emerging talent, experienced campaigners and two national title fights, the Erongo Boxing Bonanza is expected to deliver an entertaining night of boxing for fans on the coast and across Namibia.
