OFF TO KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

OFF TO KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS: The Namibian Karate team left over the weekend for the 2023 Cadets, Junior and Senior African Karate Championships (UFAK) in Casablanca, Morocco. The competition is taking place from 17 to 20 August. The championships will see a total of seven athletes take part in kata and kumite, accompanied by the national coach of the Namibian karate team, Stefan van der Merwe. The cadets are Simone Labuschange and Nellao !Naruses, with the juniors, Ronja Porteus, Justin Scholtz, and Merziaan Mouton, and the senior athletes, Suzelle Pronk, Keanu Stuurman and Phillip van Antwerpen.
